She was sitting on the exam table holding onto her little stuffed friend, reading her current favorite book, while we waited on the doctor. This is a scene I have witnessed countless times. Today was a particularly challenging appointment for Miss E, which is probably why the scene struck me as it did: Just let her be little!
Oh, how I wish the biggest obstacle to her being 'little' was that she wants to wear high heels. I want her to be allowed to be little...not by me, but by her little body.
